Wedding Planning

A wedding planner workbook is available for purchase from me with more vows and all the many details of a wedding laid out for you. More wonderful vows can be found online to inspire you if you google “wedding vows”, such as from the E-magazine The Knot. The best vows are yours that you put together yourselves, inspired by the ideas you find.

Saying the vows: The bride and groom will be speaking into my hand microphone while repeating their vows as I whisper them in short parts. This way they will sound smooth and everyone will hear them. No need to stress remembering your vows.

Your vows can be changed up, so that each one is different instead of identical, as shown on this page. The wedding is as you wish it to be! Also, bride and groom may be changed to bride and bride or groom and groom; Universal Life Church officiants acknowledge true love in all forms.

A beautiful way to offer love before your vows is to write a short letter about something endearing about your partner and a personal moment, like how you met, or how you decided they were “the one”. You face each other as you read your own letter. This is always the surprise highlight of ceremonies I have officiated because it is unique and very personal.

I am committed to being the very best officiant for your wedding day. I will put together a wedding ceremony that reflects your sentiments, personality and spirituality.  Each ceremony is custom tailored for you and approved by you.

I am comfortable performing wedding ceremonies in any environment, such as at a beach, a boutique hotel, a backyard home garden, a botanical garden, a city park, a mountain top, a professional wedding venue, or in a large hotel resort ballroom. If you need help choosing a venue, let me know. I can quickly help you by having lived in and explored Orange County for 40 years and officiating weddings since 2008.

Each person in your wedding party will understand their role in the wedding procession, for the entire ceremony. Having a rehearsal the day or evening before is very advisable.

Music helps set the mood, and I can bring a small sound system if needed, even if there is no electricity. It will be a fun and easy wedding ceremony for you, I give you my promise.

What is a metaphysical wedding? When I invite in important family members who have passed on from this life. Any ceremony we create together will have the religious or spiritual traditions you require. No two weddings I have co-created have been the same. Each one was treated as a unique and blessed event.

Your officiant is the ringleader of your wedding. Choose wisely. This choice can make the difference between a short, sweet, joyous and uplifting ceremony or a long and boring one where the minister is enjoying the sound of his own voice. I know, because it happened to me at my second wedding and at many weddings I have witnessed as a guest over the years.

10 to 15 minutes is the most anyone wants to sit and listen to a minister outside of a church sermon on a Sunday. My first marriage had a perfect wedding ceremony and was conducted by a Universal Life minister like myself. His wedding words were so sweet and heartfelt, he inspired me to want to do this work too.
